Welcome to a new Peters!

Justin's older brother Scott (well Justin is the youngest of 4 boys so I guess all his brothers are 'older' but I digress and get on with the exciting news!!) and his wife Michelle welcomed their new baby girl this morning. Big sister Ashley will be so happy!

We can't wait to meet her in person and see some pics as well. I wish they were still in Corpus so we could go see them this weekend but having them in Dallas is definitely much nicer than Minnesota!

House Update # 12

Sneak peak at the brick - this was probably the most exciting for me so far because this is one thing I picked purely by looking at a sample picture and you never know how its going to look for real when its completely all over your house. But I really really like it! They should be finished with the exterior brick this weekend. Sheetrock is 90% complete and Kate and Wesley were rolling around in the dust trying to look like little white marshmellows :)

House Update # 11

We have windows and temporary doors.. Brick got delivered today and will start going on next week. It will take about a week to complete.

And most importantly, Justin and Robbie came in this week and installed all the cable/phone and internet lines (as well as speakers for surround sound). Evidentally this is all easier to do BEFORE they sheetrock. And posting a picture of someone installing cable is not really that exciting but for your viewing pleasure, here is our future cable guy...cutest cable guy ever!

Happy Birthday Justin!

Today is Justin's birthday....#33!

We are getting take out tonight to Justin's choice (probably Mexican food). We love it!

Justin is my favorite person in the whole world. He is just enough opposite of me to keep things interesting but fundamentally we have the same hopes and dreams and together we are making them come true. He has made my life wonderful.....he is the most amazing dad ever and for that I am hoping he has a great day today and always!

House Update # 10

The AC unit was installed inside the house today and we know that AC in south Texas is absolutely necessary.

Next week the windows are set to finish being installed (dormer windows) and electric. Electric can't go in until all framing and window and AC work is complete.

I can say that I am learning a lot about this process and we probably wouldn't have that opportunity if Daryn weren't doing this for us. Its an awesome experience to watch the kids get so excited about 'their' house.

Easter Fun at School - Wesley

Wesley's egg hunt was on the baseball field later in the day than Kate's party. Wesley's teachers really went all out with decorations and good treats. And can I just say that Wesley has the BEST BIG SISTER EVER! Kate took him all over the field the find eggs and she also showed him how to share his eggs (each kid was supposed to stop at 12 eggs so that everyone had equal amount of eggs...that is a great rule with 5yr olds that know how to count to 12 but not so easy for 18month olds through 3 yr olds that do not know how to count to 12). So Kate helped him count to 12 and then showed him to how to distribute eggs evenly. Very sweet gesture.

House Update # 9

I am having some issues rearranging my pictures at the moment so forgive me for the randomness :)

We have about 90% of the house ROOFED.
We have a few windows that still need to go in and then they can finish roofing. WOO HOO
The new super duper water pump got added to the water well from earlier this week.
Next week the air conditioning gets put in the house, followed by the electric and then Justin has to come in and do his magic with the phone/internet/cable.

I love the signs of progress :)

Crazy for Play Doh

The one good side of a rental house???
I let the kids play with play doh ALL THE TIME because if it gets on the carpet what does it really matter? But we do try to stay in the kitchen and the kids LOVE IT! Here are some of their latest creations:
