Woo Hoo...April is Here!

*This is a picture of one of our planters in our back yard. When Kate was sick with the stomach bug, Wesley and I went to Lowe's to buy some flowers. I asked him to pick out one for Kate and he just grabbed this one. Needless to say, she loved it and it bloomed this past weekend and she was in love!

We love April here in the Peters' household! Why? Well, April typically signifies great weather! The pollen is typically starting to fade so it means that Justin and Wesley will lose the bags under their eyes and the runny noses (yes, they BOTH get runny noses!). But most importantly, its the month of pure appreciation for the wonderful Blessings we have in our lives.

First, April 8th is Justin's birthday - the big 32 this year! Ironically enough, Justin shares his birthday with our precious Maltese, Rex, who will be 10 this year. Rex has brought us so much joy over the years. He had some health issues when he was younger and we were scared we were going to lose him. I am so extremely happy that he's been around long enough for our kids to meet him. He is so special to us....even when he tries to hog the bed from me during the night!!
Second, April 15th is Vanessa birthday. She will be 23 this year and is making great strides at accomplishing her goals of becoming a nurse. What a great profession to go into. We are so proud of her!

Third, we are spending April 8th through April 11th at my granny's. On Thursday, April 9th we are going to Sea World in San Antonio - I'll post pics here you can count on it! On Friday, April 1oth, we are leaving the boys at my granny's and us girls (me, Kate and granny) are heading to Mickey and Minnie on ice at the Alamodome. I don't know who is more excited - Kate or grandma?!? What fun!

Lastly, but definitely most important, is that this year Easter comes in April. And this is the first year that Justin and I will be taking the kids to Easter Mass.
I know that it will be many years before both Kate and Wesley understand the true sacrifice made on our behalf. But we already have great discussions with Kate about Our Purpose and Our Respect for the Greatest Sacrifice made and how it is our Obligation to help others and spread kindness to others. Justin and I feel so Blessed that God gave us these two little humans that we can shape and mold into beautiful people.
