That is exactly how we have felt the past few days. It started Thursday afternoon and did not let up until Saturday night. But by then we had been prisoners in our own homes and as much as we wanted to let the kids splash like crazy in the massive puddles in the yard, we couldn't.
The lightening was so horrible and constant that we couldn't find any period of time when we felt it would be safe to step outside. I took a pretty bad shock through the computer on Friday afternoon as I was chatting with my friend Kimberly. I have never been quite so 'shocked' in my life.
So what do you do when you can't get out of the house b/c its raining so much? Well...we watched snails crawl....literally. We found two snails crawling on the side of our house and the kids loved to watch them slowly crawl from bottom to top. See pics below...
And what else do we do when we are couped up in the house? A lot of Honey Do's on our 'Should have been done a long time ago but its too pretty outside so we'll put it off to another weekend' project list. One of our overdue projects has been to fix the jets in our jacuzzi tub in our master bath. I'll admit. I'm not a fan of jacuzzi/jet tubs and will probably never own another. Too much to keep clean and when you DON'T use them often enough the motor freezes up. Which was what happened in our case. Justin had to do some repair work and the jets worked like a charm. The kids loved the extra bubbly bubble bath...see pics below!

so you didn't tell me you got shocked while talking to me on Friday! we were cooped up Friday and Saturday too, until I decided it would be good to drive 30+ miles to a great seafood restaurant and almost flooded the car. Next time we will be staying home :) hope the kids got to splash in the puddles today!
